MEAT THE FRIEDRICHSENS

Will and Macey Friedrichsen met in 2017 and were married in August 2019. As lifelong supporters of agriculture and farmers in Northwest Iowa, they shared a dream of creating a business that would connect local livestock producers with families across the region.

That dream became a reality in 2021 when they purchased a large office building along Highway 10 in Sutherland, Iowa, and transformed it into what is now Friedrichsen Meat Company. After months of renovation and hard work, the doors officially opened in June 2022.

​

Their greatest blessings, however, have been at home. Their oldest son, Zeke, was born in December 2021, followed by little brother, Warner, in April 2024. In May 2026, their family grew once again with the arrival of their daughter, Ruby. As parents, Will and Macey know the importance of gathering around the table with wholesome, high-quality food, and that same commitment carries into everything they do at Friedrichsen Meat Company.

Today, Friedrichsen Meat Company is proud to be a family-owned, farmer-owned, state-inspected meat (CIS) processing facility and retail market serving Northwest Iowa and beyond. We offer custom processing services for local livestock producers while also providing a retail meat market filled with premium beef, pork, specialty meats, locally sourced products, and some of their family favorites.

Whether you're bringing in livestock for processing, filling your freezer with a quarter or half beef, or stopping by to pick up steaks for supper, our goal is the same: to provide exceptional quality, dependable service, and a welcoming experience for every customer.
